That what it seems to me : PIN 1 NC (?) PIN 2 -IN PIN 3 +IN PIN 4 GND PIN 5 NC (?) PIN 6 OUT /64 (+OUT) PIN 7 OUT /64 (-OUT) PIN 8 +V the U664B has symmetric inputs and outputs works from 30MHz to 1.3GHz 10mV input 80MHz to 1000MHz typ. @150MHz = 5 to 15mV for multiple chips function guarantized for input < 300mV ( donīt exceed for correct function) without input signal tends to oscillate the cap in my circuit at pin 3 make the input asymetric the divider has 50R input impedance have fun Friedel Date: 20011122 From: Alois Bauer To: Multiple recipients of list CHIPDIR-L Subject: U664B pinout, data hello as I work with RF and Microwave since many years I remembered the U6xx and U8xx frequency deviders from TELEFUNKEN, and what is more important we have a brochure from 1987 ("Halbleiteruebersicht Integrierte Schaltungen") in our databook library which contains data (sorry, overview only) for these parts. U665B and U664BS: Prescaler div-by-64 (U666BS is div-by-256) Vcc 4.5 .. 5.5 V Icc 40 .. 60 mA (U666BS 42 .. 64 mA) Vin 20 .. 300 mV (pp or rms ??) Fin 30 .. 1000 MHz Vout 1.5 Vpp pinout U664 (DIP8) 1 nc 2 in1 3 in2 4 GND 5 nc 6 out2 7 out1 8 Vcc in1, in2 / out1, out2 = differential input / output if single-ended input is required one can use a RF transformer. Often it's cheaper to RF-ground one input (e.g. 1 nF cap), loosing some sensitivity. U664B does not self-oscillate without or too low input signal; U664BS does. regards Alois Bauer
